My First Digital Picture Book

Creative Workshop for Children

Stories are the key that unlocks a child’s heart! As great lovers of stories ourselves—written, sung, told, and especially brought to life on screen—this year we decided to introduce children to the joy and fun of creating their own. In the workshop My First Digital Picture Book, children aged 7 to 12 will have the opportunity to ignite their imagination and become authors of their own digital stories. Using Scratch, the globally popular tool for learning programming and digital creativity, they will create scenarios, bring characters to life, and connect two essential branches of modern life—digital technology and art.

No prior experience is required, though children with Scratch experience are also welcome. Beginners will apply newly learned skills in the creative process, while more advanced participants can explore more complex elements and skilfully turn their ideas into a small treasure trove of tales.

All participants are required to bring their own laptops.

Applications are accepted until spots are filled via email: infoindustry@zff.hr.
